Nassau-Suffolk and Suffolk-area players to be featured on Hofstra’s football, football and football-related conference

The National Football Foundation will host its sixth Annual Walter Reed Football and Youth Football Conference at Hofstra University on Oct. 25-26. In conjunction with the conference, it will also host a master class on Wednesday, Oct. 24. The 2020 Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Schleppie Conference will also be held in partnership with Hofstra on Friday, Oct. 26.

The football championship will be held at Hobart College in New Hartford on Sunday, Nov. 11, with matches being held at Stony Brook University in Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Union University in Rensselaer, N.Y. On Saturday, Nov. 12, the championship will be held at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y.

“The Walter Reed football and youth football conferences help schools and students identify the best talent in their area, help develop future high school players, provide the opportunity for students to play in college, and address new needs for health professionals working with high school players,” said Stephen Pattwell, chair of the Nassau-Suffolk State Division of Football, in a press release. “We’re proud to again support these educational and educational opportunities for Nassau and Suffolk counties.”

The conference will be open to players who have been enrolled in state recognized high school football or were available to practice before their enrollment date. These schools and players must be either signed by their high school to sign a letter of intent or a letter of commitment to play for college football.
