This day will be fishing free from June 5-6 for Kids in New York

The site of the legendary Yesness Pond will soon be a smorgasbord of fish for its 11,000 children on Saturday, June 5. Yesness Pond, a 3.5 acre site south of Katonah Island, and New York state’s flagship fished sporting game fish, will host Kids Fishing Day on June 5 and help out at area businesses and organizations.

“This is a great opportunity for kids to participate and compete in an outdoor water sports activity of their choice,” New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Commissioner Basil Seggos said. “The Fish Market is giving kids unlimited free access to Yesness Pond, where they will catch fish and enjoy an outdoor ice-skating rink and snack bar for free while they’re there.”
